] and ] look fun to play a “6+ CMC” deck. ] could be cool to build around as a clones deck, with wincons like ] and/or light tribal payoffs. Other possible ideas I’m seeing in Simic: I proceeded to avoid a 6 combat step ] beatdown and a ] the following turn and finished them off.įor sure! Xenagos is great fun and perfect for moving a game toward a conclusion, unlike many of those drowsy Simic value lists ) We then used them to beat up the staxy guy. Opponent stax pieces worked in my favour with everyone continually getting salamanders. I later won a game through almost pure politics, utilizing the creature protection and holding up interaction. I then proceeded to have 1000 power on board through 6 copies of the commander plus ]. However, with the combined forces of salamanders we beat him down before he could win. You get to utilize simic ramp, draw and interaction while "not being a threat" until it's too late. He has performed a lot better than expected too using a clone/political build. You should really give ] a go imo, it's really fun. (This isn't really directed at you Apodecte, just a general note for those potentially interested in Esix) Things like ] (better with ] are pretty great too.īest game I've played had me copying my opponent's ] six times, grabbing a ] and ] and smacking face. My deck has a strong treasure (] baby!), food, and clue theme, so I'm always making potentially useful tokens even if esix isn't on the field. Keep in mind that Esix cares about any token, not just token creatures. I don't run thopter assembly, as I generally try to avoid upkeep token triggers, but it's intriguing and I might try it out. Deranged hermit won't stick around the next turn, because you would need to pay echo costs on all the copies, if you choose him to copy, but it's a great way to snag four token copies of something else on the field.
